Recently, Salus University President Dr. Michael H. Mittelman was inducted as a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. His membership was made official at a special ceremony during the organization’s College Night.
Salus University has announced four recent appointments to its Board of Trustees.
While the University’s new Learning Resource Center has been open and available for student use since January 9, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Monday afternoon for the Board of Trustees and other stakeholders including both the construction project managers, designers and architects, inviting all to browse the finished product.
All Salus students are invited to visit the new Learning Resource Center on Monday, January 9, with the first 250 visitors during the lunch break receiving their first hot beverage courtesy of the University. We are excited for all students, faculty and staff to explore the renovated facility and hope to see you there.
Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry professor Joseph Toland OD ’54, MD, passed away on Sunday, December 4. In his announcement, President Mittelman—a student of Dr. Toland—called him a true icon, advocate, activist and leader who played a pivotal role in ensuring optometrists were able to practice at the levels at which they were being taught.
