The University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) Centennial Gala weekend celebrations wrapped up at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 28 with an elegant dance-club feel in the Grand Ballroom inside the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. Overlooking the Delaware River, it appeared as though guests were dancing on water.

The American Optometric Association (AOA) National Optometry Hall of Fame Selection Committee recently announced four optometrists who will be inducted into the National Optometry Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at a ceremony during Optometry’s Meeting in St. Louis, Mo. Salus University’s president, Michael H. Mittelman, OD, MPH, FAAO, FACHE will be among the four.
On Friday, April 12, Salus faculty, students and staff participated in the inaugural Health Fair conducted by the LeVine Backstretch Clinic, which is operated at the Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pa. as part of the horse racing facility there. The Backstretch Clinic is an initiative of the La Salle University Neighborhood Nursing Center; the volunteer physician, Dr. Ken Risen; and, the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (PTHA).
