The most recent group of students who received travel grants from the Salus University Alumni Association presented posters at professional conferences last year between August and November. Along with professional conference expenses, funding is also available to support student travel for health screenings and humanitarian trips.
Meet Teresa Konieczny Burns, AuD ’15, MA. While living in New Zealand, Dr. Burns completed the Salus University Doctor of Audiology Online Bridge Program. Redefining higher education, the program provides audiologists with the educational support they desire and the convenience they need.
Salus Student Ambassadors often play a more specific, traditional role when participating in annual University events, engaging with alumni and connecting with prospective students. But on Friday, January 20, they were praised by the University’s dean of Student Affairs Dr. James Caldwell for planning their own inaugural event, Dean’s Winterfest 2017.
Salus University and Community College of Philadelphia have partnered to bring an innovative Ophthalmic Technician Proficiency Certificate Program to Philadelphia. The program launched Jan. 17 at the Community College’s Northwest Regional Center—adjacent to The Eye Institute—and is expected to provide family-sustaining jobs for individuals in the neighborhood.
