Patients at The Eye Institute (TEI) of Salus University and the entire Oak Lane community can now enjoy expanded healthcare services with the addition of CityLife Neighborhood Clinic’s latest Oak Lane location, which opened its doors this week.
The University’s president, Dr. Michael H. Mittelman recently announced the appointment of Melissa Trego ’04 OD, PhD, as the new dean of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO).
From July 10-21, 13 students from Saudi Arabia, China and Thailand participated in controlled patient care experiences as part of their Master of Science in Clinical Optometry (MSCO) program. The two-week program, led by Drs. Harvey Bonner of Montana and Robert Andersson, MSCO ’10, of Finland, allows students to practice their clinical skills on unique patient cases.

From an outsider’s point of view, the evening may look like a high-end product showcase, but in reality, it was an extracurricular activity for Optometry students to refine their contact lens fitting skills.
Jamie (Roden) Pucci ’18OD has been named the recipient of the 2017 Dr. Norman E. Wallis Award for Excellence for achieving the highest score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) Part I Basic Science Examination.
