As National Physician Assistant (PA) Week kicked off on October 6, two events allowed the PA Department to applaud the success of its past and present students. fter eight months of coursework at the Community College of Philadelphia’s Northwest Regional Center, clinical training at The Eye Institute (TEI), Salus University’s optometric clinical facility, and externship experiences, all eight ophthalmic tech students are on track to successfully complete the program.
The University’s Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies (BLVS) was recently awarded a $1.25 million grant from the Department of Education to be distributed over the next five years. Salus was one of only 40 institutions throughout the U.S. to receive funding.
From September 25-27, faculty, students and alumni from the University’s Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) attended the Academy of Doctors of Audiology’s (ADA) AuDACITY conference at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut.
