Salus University and its clinical facilities will be closed Monday, May 28, 2018 in observance of Memorial Day.
The 22nd annual Transitions Academy was held February 11-14 at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. This is the first year the University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) sent representatives to participate.

This November, 17 students began their studies at the first optometry program in Haiti thanks to the recent collaboration between l’Universite d’Etat d’Haiti (UEH), Brien Holden Vision Institute, Optometry Giving Sight, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) International and Charity Vision with support from the University of Montreal.
Friends, family, former residents and colleagues gathered on the evening of Monday, January 22 to celebrate the retirement of Bernard H. Blaustein, OD, FAAO, affectionately known as “Uncle Bernie,” at The Eye Institute’s (TEI) Oak Lane campus.
On January 5, University faculty took part in a development session, complete with engaging presenters and a continental breakfast. Twice a year at the beginning of the academic year and at the start of the New Year, faculty members are given the opportunity to gather for professional development learning sessions and to socialize with fellow colleagues.
