Salus University welcomes Drs. Stephanie Leburg and Navpreet Hehar as instructors in the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO).
A graduate of the University’s Advanced Placement Doctor of Optometry degree program (APOD) made history by publishing the first primary eye care and clinical procedures manual in Chinese.
Salus has partnered with Qassim University during the past three years to provide lectures, seminars and controlled patient care experiences for the students who are completing their one-year internship after graduating with their Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from Qassim.
After 23 years of service to both Salus and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), Dr. Abraham (Avi) Gonen OD ’73 will leave a legacy of expanding optometry internationally in light of his recent retirement.
Three students took home top honors at the recent National Optometric Association (NOA) conference, held in Tigard, Ore. Tasneem Maner ’20OD received Vision Service Plan Global’s Dr. Marvin R. Poston Leadership Award, Fatimah Hassan ’18OD, won the National Vision Essay Grant competition and Courtney Goode ’17OD was named student of the year.
