Susan C. Oleszewski, OD ‘76, MA – or “Dr. O” as she is more familiarly known – is a Salus icon. In her nearly four decade career at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) and Salus University, she has served in a variety of didactic, clinical and administrative capacities.
This past fall, a group of students from programs across the University were selected to receive travel grants from the University’s Alumni Association. These grants assisted students attending professional conferences in order to present academic and professional posters; expand their knowledge in their field; and network with future colleagues and employers.
In celebration of the centuries-old Valentine's Day, we thought it was the perfect time to share some of our very own Salus love stories.
This November, 17 students began their studies at the first optometry program in Haiti thanks to the recent collaboration between l’Universite d’Etat d’Haiti (UEH), Brien Holden Vision Institute, Optometry Giving Sight, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) International and Charity Vision with support from the University of Montreal.
From November 16-18, the University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) hosted clinic directors, administrators and externship directors from optometry schools across the U.S. and Canada for a conference in the City of Brotherly Love.
