Elkins Park, PA – Salus University has named Karen Kutner assistant vice president for clinical operations. Salus University is an internationally recognized academic institution offering a wide range of graduate, post-graduate and professional degree programs for healthcare professionals.
In her new position, Kutner will serve as the chief operating officer responsible for the efficient and effective management of the University’s clinical sites while ensuring the highest standards of patient care in conjunction with the educational experience of its students. Current Salus clinical sites include The Eye Institute, which has three locations, and the Pennsylvania Ear Institute. With more than 25 years of experience, Kutner most recently held the position of administrator for the department of surgery at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA. In this role, Kutner served as the senior administrative leader for 13 clinical divisions, network-owned surgical practices and programs. She was also responsible for the department’s pre-graduate, graduate and post-graduate medical education, quality performance improvement initiatives, clinical research and scholarly activity for the integrated healthcare system. Prior to that position she was a clinical department administrator at Temple University School of Medicine.
Kutner is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management.
