Salus University has named Reade Fahs, chief executive officer of National Vision Inc.,
to its Board of Trustees
. Mr. Fahs is overjoyed by his invitation to join the University’s Board.
"Over the course of my career I have been involved with thousands of optometrists in the US and the UK,” he said. “I personally, and we as a company, care deeply about the future of optometry.” Mr. Fahs is looking forward to playing a part in helping Salus educate optometrists who will advance the profession.
“Beyond its optometric roots, Salus offers programs in audiology, health sciences, biomedicine and education rehabilitation. Given the evermore interconnected nature of healthcare in America, I look forward to learning more and contributing where I can to the advancement of these fields as well," he said.
University president Dr. Michael H. Mittelman is pleased to have Mr. Fahs join the Board because of his business savvy expertise and extensive professional experiences.
“Reade Fahs is a vital, and accomplished, addition to our Board,” he said. “We look forward to his input and expertise as we work together to positively impact post-graduate education amidst the changing dynamics of healthcare in our country.”
Mr. Fahs has been involved in optics in the United States and Europe for nearly 30 years. For the past 15 years, Mr. Fahs has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Atlanta-based National Vision, Inc. Under his leadership, National Vision
has become one of the largest and fastest-growing optical retailers in the nation, including brands like America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses
and Eyeglass World.
