New Post-baccalaureate Program in Health Sciences

Salus is now accepting applications for its newest program: Post-baccalaureate in Health Sciences. While Salus offers professional and graduate degrees as well as certificate programs, this is the first Post-baccalaureate for the University.

04112017_SU-TEI_346.JPGPost-baccalaureate programs are designed for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or are working toward a secondary degree from an accredited institution. According to U.S. News and World Report, benefits to completing a Post-baccalaureate program are many – it can provide an opportunity to take required prerequisite courses after undergraduate graduation, boost a competitive GPA or CV, strengthen their scientific background, or help students become better prepared for admission to a professional, graduate, or medical school. One of the biggest advantages to completing a Post-baccalaureate program is that it makes a student a more competitive applicant for any health professions program they apply.

“I am excited for the implementation of the Post-baccalaureate Program in Health Sciences and I look forward to helping students prepare for success in their future health professions programs,” said Darryl Horn, PhD, program director.

Students in the program will receive an introduction to patient care and have the opportunity to observe within the University’s clinical facilities, along with a career guidance and academic success course to assist them in achieving their ultimate professional goals. Eligible students accepted into the Post-baccalaureate program who successfully complete the certificate, submit a complete application, and meet the program prerequisite requirements will be guaranteed an interview to a Salus program of their choice.* – for more details please contact the Office of Admissions.
