2012 Physician Assistant Commencement
On Friday, September 14, 2012 the University's Physician Assistant Class of 2012 held its commencement ceremony at Keneseth Israel synagogue in Elkins Park, PA.
Graduates, faculty and University administrators processed from the University's campus across the street to the synagogue, where the graduates and their guests were treated to a speech by their Class Representative, Nellie Lynn Kippley, and a keynote address by Lawrence Michael Herman, PA-C, MPA, president-elect of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
After the ceremony, graduates and guests returned to the Hafter Student Community Center on campus. Salus University president-designate, Rear Admiral Michael Mittelman, commissioned graduate Abby Funk as a lieutenant in the U S Navy. PA program director Dr. Richard Vause, retired US Public Health Service officer with the rank of a Navy captain, was a witness, along with PA faculty member Danny Scott, PA-C, MPAS, a US Public Health Service officer with the rank of commander.
