Harry K. Lasky, 76, of Sun City Center , FL

formerly of Fleetwood , PA , passed away Christmas Eve 2008.

Born November 13, 1932 to the late Steve and Violet Lasky of New Castle, PA, Harry graduated from Slippery Rock (PA) University in 1958 after serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and last served in the Honor Guard in Washington , DC . For over 30 years he was an educator, spending 1970-1991 at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania training students to teach the blind.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Clara Mae Schafer Lasky and two daughters, Cynthia Zoe Smith of Columbia , MO and Claudia Ann Smith of Atlanta , GA. The Laskys moved to Florida in 1994. Harry was a lifelong golfer, belonging to Falcon Crest Golf Club for 14 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund, 5309 N. As requested, Harry will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Apollo Beach , Florida .
