Stacy Kelly, Ed.D., COMS, is a faculty member in the Low Vision and Blindness Program at Illinois State University. Prior to joining the faculty at Illinois State University, Dr. Kelly was a National Center for Leadership in Visual Impairment (NCLVI) Doctoral Fellow. Dr. Kelly completed her doctoral degree at Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Kelly started her career by pursuing an undergraduate degree in special education with an emphasis in low vision and blindness at Illinois State University. Dr. Kelly taught students who were blind or visually impaired as a teacher of the visually impaired. She is also a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) and a certified school administrator. In addition to this, Dr. Kelly has worked as a disability policy researcher in Washington, DC.
