William Collins, OD ’47, was active during his years at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), serving as vice president of the Class of 1944; as a member of the tennis and basketball teams; on the staffs of publications such as the Iris, the Pupil and the Review; and as a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon.

Dr. Wolfberg, the Pennsylvania College of Optometry’s (PCO) fourth president, began his history of association with the College shortly after his graduation. He served on the Board of Trustees from 1959 to 1979 and was Board Chair from 1976 to 1978.

In his book, Vignettes of a Lucky Life, “Noke” described his early association with Pennsylvania College of Optometry’s (PCO) founder and president Dr. Albert Fitch while serving as College counsel. Through his lifetime of activity and involvement in civic, legal, philanthropic, health and welfare organizations and educational institutions, he touched the lives of many Philadelphians.

Dr. Wiener is nationally known as a lecturer, author, and practitioner of developmental and behavioral optometry. In 1982, he chaired a special committee at PCO to advise faculty and administration on curricular changes incorporating behavioral optometric practice.
