The Cough Heard Around the World: Coronavirus and COVID-19 Updates and Treatments
The Coronavirus global pandemic impacted almost every corner of the world. Those that were infected and went on to develop COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 challenged every aspect of medicine. From diagnosis to treatment it has been a race against the clock to find ways to perform mass testing and then to stabilize and treat patients with true guinea pig therapies. As the curve has begun to flatten out there is now time to focus on the future of this organism and disease by evaluating antibody testing and development of one or more vaccines. This course will discuss the pathophysiology of coronavirus treatment options antibody testing and vaccines as well as the clinical trials that are evaluating these topics worldwide. Case anecdotes and examples will be included to create an optimum learning environment for this timely topic.

Dry Eye Updates
In the wake of COVID-19, eye care providers must strive to recoup lost revenue by maximizing medical office visits and treatments. Dry eye disease is an exceedingly common but often underdiagnosed and untreated clinical entity. This lecture reviews some of the more recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances in dry eye, which may help to improve both patients' quality of life as well as the financial health of the optometric practice. Additionally, some newer "pipeline" therapies will also be discussed.

100-Hour Program Model featuring first ever live online webinars with Q & A with 70 hours of theory/didactics.

A program for Optometrists and Vision Therapists interested in incorporating or enhancing binocular vision diagnosis and treatment in their practice. Vision therapy techniques and management plans will be emphasized through both online lectures and workshops. Repeat access to pre-recorded webinars from the comfort of your own home or office will be available. Participants have a choice of registering for our full 100-hour course (lectures and hands-on workshops) or the lectures only portion of our course.

This comprehensive program consists of:
  • Online lectures via live webinars
  • Hands-on workshops (travel to Salus University in Pennsylvania is required)
  • After the completion of each topic, an online multiple choice-exam will be administered
  • A certificate of completion will be issued to participants who successfully complete the lectures portion of our course and to those participants who successfully complete the entire course (lectures and workshops)
