“Day in the Life” Series

It’s important for prospective students to have an idea of what a “Day in the Life” of a master’s or doctorate level education is like, especially here at Salus. Many ask, “What is the ‘typical’ day like for a Salus student?” While there is no way to specifically answer that, given the variety of interests of the students here as well as the expectations and curriculum within the various programs, the University’s “Day in the Life” series can give a prospective student a sense of what a typical day looks like in each year – clinical and didactic – within each of our programs.

My name is Lauren Wychowski. I'm from Rochester, New York, but I currently live in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. I am a second-year Physician Assistant (PA) student. I am currently in my third rotation, which is pediatrics! I travel to Advocare Greentree Pediatrics in Marlton, New Jersey, which is about a 45 minutes to an hour commute one way, depending on traffic.

I am a first-year Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) student with two clinical rotations, one at the Breastfeeding Resource Center and the other at the Speech Language Institute (SLI) on campus with three clients.
