MBA Certificate & Dual Degree Options
For more than 30 years, Saint Joseph’s University has offered exclusive, industry-focused MBA program designed for interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. In partnership with Saint Joseph’s University, we now offer several new opportunities for students to earn advanced healthcare business certification to supplement their masters or doctoral programs.
Our students learn to think strategically as healthcare policies and regulations, patient expectations, and compliance considerations continue to evolve. Distinguish yourself with an experiential education focused on maximizing value for all industry stakeholders. Salus University students may attend MBA classes online, on campus or any combination, surrounded by seasoned physician executives as well as professionals from the pharmaceutical and healthcare service industries.
Flexible, Accelerated Courses: In-Person and Online
As an alternative to semester-long evening classes or residencies that may require overnight stays, our accelerated course structure is designed to allow students to take classes with minimal interruption to their busy personal and professional lives. Students may choose to take courses on the SJU campus in just two full days (a Friday & Saturday) with online sessions and assignments both before and after the class days. All courses are also offered entirely online with our one calendar month format, featuring one evening virtual session per week. For ultimate flexibility, students may choose to take a combination of in-person and online courses as their schedules permit.
Certificate Program Admissions Criteria
- Online application including CV or resume
- Official academic transcripts from all collegiate studies
- One letter of recommendation from your academic advisor, associate dean, or a professional reference
- GMAT scores may be waived for candidates who satisfy any of the following criteria:
- Personal phone interview
- Five years of professional experience
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.2
- Master’s or doctoral degree
The Business Leadership Certificate
Satisfy eight courses (16 credits) designed to cover the full breadth of fundamental business areas. An emphasis on real-world application will equip students for success in a variety of healthcare career paths:

Customize your industry-focused education by satisfying any eight courses (16 credits) from among our upper-level Healthcare EMBA, or Pharmaceutical Marketing MBA curricula. Choose from a variety of specialty topics:

The Full MBA - Dual Degree Option
Salus University students who complete one or both certificates have the option to continue after graduating to earn their full MBA degree from SJU. With up to 16 out of 24 courses already satisfied, as few as 8 additional courses would be required.
