The American Optometric Association (AOA) National Optometry Hall of Fame Selection Committee recently announced four optometrists who will be inducted into the National Optometry Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at a ceremony during Optometry’s Meeting in St. Louis, Mo. Salus University’s president, Michael H. Mittelman, OD, MPH, FAAO, FACHE will be among the four.
On Friday, April 26, 2019, thirty-five additional notable individuals will be awarded Presidential Medals to commemorate the 100th anniversary of PCO and the 10th anniversary of Salus. Every Saturday leading up to Friday April 26, we will highlight a few of the new awardees. This week's are Drs. Gudmundsen, Lewis, Mittelman and Osborne.

Each year, the University’s Alumni Association recognizes the professional contributions and achievements of graduates and friends of the institution. Awardees are nominated by alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Salus.
