Jamie (Roden) Pucci ’18OD has been named the recipient of the 2017 Dr. Norman E. Wallis Award for Excellence for achieving the highest score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) Part I Basic Science Examination.

From June 29-30, seven participants had the chance to learn the ins and outs about one of the fastest growing professions in the US during the University’s Osborne College of Audiology inaugural Audiology Learning Experience.
For the past two weeks, students could be seen navigating the University’s halls, grounds and stairways using white canes and wearing blindfolds. The immersive experience is part of the Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies’ (BLVS) Orientation and Mobility (O&M) program.
Faculty and students from the University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) and the department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies (BLVS), participated in the inaugural Junior Summer Academy, a unique program for middle school students who are visually impaired.
