Dr. Audrey Smith, dean of Salus University College of Education and Rehabilitation, announced today that the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) awarded candidacy to the University’s Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) for a period of five years beginning July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2020.
Salus PCO fourth-year student, Nicole Rist ’16OD, is the new Varilux Optometry Student Bowl national champion. She won her title on June 25 at Optometry’s Meeting, the annual conference of the American Optometry Association, held in Seattle, WA this year.
The Speech-Language Institute (SLI), the clinical facility for the Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), will open next month for patient care. Located on the Elkins Park campus, SLI is the University’s newest clinical facility, joining The Eye Institute and Pennsylvania Ear Institute.
“Pop up” for lunch is a new, relaxed approach to summer’s less crowded campus by Williamson’s Culinart, the company that provides weekday breakfast, lunch and snacks in the University’s Café, as well as catering for luncheons and special events.
On Saturday, November 14, 2015, Salus University will host its NINTH annual “Looking Out for Kids” benefit at the Hafter Center on campus.
