Salus University and its clinical facilities will be closed Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will open with normal operating hours on Tuesday, January 21st.
At an early age, Dr. Bre Myers acquired a profound love for music and found herself intrigued at how certain songs, sounds, and lyrics could generate such intense feelings in different individuals. Studying the ear appeared to be a natural fit for her.
After taking linguistics elective while earning her undergraduate degree, Dr. Carrie Knight fell in love with the concept of language, and found the ability to analyze varying aspects of communication both rewarding and challenging. “All it took was one elective to influence my life’s work,” said Dr. Knight.
Over the past year, Salus University has had the pleasure of welcoming new faculty and staff to its Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Department.
Education and impact. That, in short, is why Caitlyn Foy decided to pursue a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Temple University in Philadelphia. After obtaining a teaching in higher education certificate and adjunct teaching at Philadelphia University, she discovered Salus; the end result – helping to build the Occupational Therapy program from the ground up.
Twice a year, faculty members from across the Salus community gather for University Faculty Development Day, with a reception the evening before. The most recent event took place last week, January 5-6, providing professional development opportunities, important group discussions, and the chance to connect with fellow colleagues.
