Rebecca Delia joined our Board in 2018 and currently serves as Chair of the Executive Committee.
Delia is currently Senior Vice President of FSL Public Finance, LLC, a firm which provides financial advisory, swap advisory and consulting services to municipal and non-profit clients, including college and universities. Delia was a Founding Board Member of Ladies First, a professional association of women engaged in the public finance industry.
Delia is a graduate of the American Graduate School of International Management with a MIM and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BA in German International Trade.
Dr. Abramowicz joined our Board of Trustees in 2000 and currently serves as our Vice Chair, Chair of the Committee on Trustees and a member of the Executive Committee and the Audit & Compliance Committee.
Dr. Abramowicz is currently Executive Vice President – Corporate Technology and Regulatory Affairs of Crown Holdings, a leading packaging supplier. He also is the former Chairperson of the Executive Corporate Committee of The Franklin Institute and member of the Institute’s Board of Trustees; former Director and Chairperson of the Industrial Research Institute and Vice-Chairperson of The President’s Advisory Board of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School.
Dr. Abramowicz is a graduate of Princeton University with a PhD and MS in Biophysical Chemistry and of St. Francis College with a dual BS/BA in Chemistry and Mathematics and Computer Science.
Dr. Cassey joined our Board of Trustees in 2007 and currently serves as Chair of the Academic Policy & Curriculum Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.
Dr. Cassey currently maintains a private optometry practice.
Dr. Cassey is a graduate of Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry with an OD and Bucknell University with a BS in Biology with a minor in Sociology.
Emily Turner joined our Board of Trustees in January 2021 and currently serves as Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee and member of the Executive Committee and the Strategic Initiatives.
Turner is an investment advisor at Goldman, Sachs & Co. specializing in wealth management. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of CFA Society Philadelphia. Turner is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Barra Foundation. Additionally, Turner is Co-Chair of 100 Women in Finance in Philadelphia.
Turner is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics and a concentration in Finance.

Terri Albertson joined the Board as an elected member in January 2018. She has over 30 years of professional experience in providing value-added services, to governmental, not-for-profit clients including quasi-governmental agencies, colleges and universities, foundation, behavioral health, social service, cultural organizations, religious organizations and hospitals. Albertson is currently Assistant CFO/Controller at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).
In addition, she had her own certified public accounting firm, providing performance and financial audit services to the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Auditor General, consulting projects to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Resolution Trust Corporation and litigation support services to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Albertson is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College with a BA in Economics and Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
Dr. Artis joined our Board of Trustees in 2013 and currently serves on the Committee on Trustees, the Academic Policy & Curriculum Committee, and the Institutional Advancement Committee.
Dr. Artis is currently an independent eyecare management consultant. He currently serves on a private equity company board and is a management consultant for three privately held eyecare companies. Dr. Artis previously served as Executive Vice President and COO of Vision Source, Director of Professional Affairs for Johnson and Johnson’s contact lens division, Director of Professional Services at For Eyes Optical and owner of Visual Eyes Optometry.
Dr. Artis is a graduate of Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry with an OD and was recognized as our Alumnus of the Year in 2006. He is also a graduate of the University of Miami with an MBA and MHA and the Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Biology.
Rear Admiral Thomas E Beeman, PhD, LHD, USN (ret) joined our board of trustees in 2017 and currently serves as a member of the Committee on Trustees.
Rear Admiral Beeman is a Professor of Practice at Saint Joseph University. Following a distinguished military career, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Regional Operations for Penn Medicine and President and CEO of Lancaster General Health. He currently serves as a Commissioner on the Pennsylvania Military Enhancement Commission appointed by the Governor and served as co-chair of the COVER Commission appointed by the President to improve mental health care in the Veterans Administration.
Admiral Beeman is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a PhD in Leadership and Policy, Widener University with an MBA in Healthcare Administration, Saint Joseph University with an MA in Public Health Education and a BS in Community Health and Preventative Medicine. He is the co-author of three books and a number of academic articles.

Christopher Dezzi joined our Board of Trustees in 2009 and currently serves as a member of the Finance & Investment Committee and the Institutional Advancement Committee.
Dezzi is currently President of the Dezzi Group, Ltd, a full service political and business consulting firm. Dezzi is Chairman Emeritus of the Gladney Center for Adoption, a member of the Talent and Workforce Committee of Holy Redeemer Health System and a member of the Executive Committee for Elementary Education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Dezzi is a graduate of Temple University with an MBA and LaSalle University with a BA in English & Political Science.
Reade Fahs joined our Board of Trustees in 2017 and currently serves as a member of the Institutional Advancement Committee and the Strategic Initiatives.
Fahs is currently Chief Executive Officer of National Vision, Inc., one of the largest optical retailers in the country, and Chairman of the Board of VisionSpring, a non-profit provider of affordable eyeglasses, vision screening and training around the world.
Fahs is a graduate of Harvard College with an AB in English and American Literature.
Carolyn Forcina joined our Board of Trustees in 2020 and currently serves as Chair of the Health Services Committee and member of the Executive and the Strategic Initiatives committees.
Forcina was with the American Hospital Association for 24 years serving as Regional Executive responsible for member relations in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. More recently she was a consultant and freelance writer specializing in health policy and health system transformation. Currently she is Senior Writer for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), the leading national association for professionals and organizations in health information.
Dr. Foy currently serves as a member of the Academic Policy & Curriculum Committee and the Health Services Committee.
Dr. Foy is our current faculty representative to the Board of Trustees and an Associate Professor in the College of Health Sciences, Education and Rehabilitation. Dr. Foy is the director of the post-professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy and Advanced Specialty Certificates programs. She teaches in the post-professional OTD and MSOT programs. Dr. Foy enjoys working with students as the MSOT's Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) advisor.
Dr. Foy received a post-professional doctorate of occupational therapy and master of occupational therapy from Temple University, and a BS in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ketih Ignotz joined our Board of Trustees in 1991 and currently serves as Chair of the Institutional Advancement Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee and the Committee on Trustees.
Ignotz is currently President & Chief Executive Officer and a Director of OcuMedic, Inc., an ophthalmic drug delivery company. Ignotz previously served in Chief Executive and Director roles with several ophthalmic device and biopharmaceutical companies.
Ignotz is a graduate of Pepperdine University with an MBA and San Jose State University with a BA in Sociology and Political Science.
Dr. Kinslow joined our Board in January 2021 and currently serves as a member of the Academic Policy and Curriculum Committee. She is the Strategy Officer of Atlanticare in Egg Harbor Township.
Dr. Kinslow is a graduate of Temple University with a master’s degree in Nursing, of Widener University with a doctorate in Education and of St. Joseph’s University with a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Joyce Koh joined our Board of Trustees in 2020 and currently serves on the Committee on Trustees.
Koh is the Sole Director of her law firm, Joyce Koh, LLC, seasoned in corporate transactions since 2008, serving clients ranging from blue chip companies, major national and local community banks, quasi-governmental agencies and small privately held corporations.
Koh is a graduate of The Beasley School of Law at Temple University with a JD and of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual BA in English and Economics.
Sean Lewis was elected as student representative to the Board of Trustees for 2023. He is a member of our Doctor of Optometry Class of 2024 and serves on our Student Council.
Lewis is a graduate of Norfolk State University’s Dozoretz Scholars Program with a BS in Biology. Before coming to Salus, he taught Advanced Placement chemistry, biology, physics, and environmental science at the E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, DC with dual teaching certifications in both science and special education. He also served as department chair of the science department, and was Director of the school’s youth mentoring program.
While at Salus, he received the Pinnacle Student of the Year award from the student body, has been a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Golden Key International Honour Society, president of the Sexuality And Gender Alliance at Salus (SAGAS), and a TA for Optometry Clinical Skills.
Daniel Liberman joined the Board in 2023. Prior to this appointment, he was most recently President of WS Audiology, a leading hearing aid company formed in 2019 by the merger of Sivantos and Widex, and before that, the Chief Commercial Officer at Essilor of America, a leading eyecare company.
He is a graduate of Stanford University (BS), University of Bath (MSc) and Michigan Law School (JD).
Dana Mattingly is the Executive Director, Compliance – Revenue Integrity, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Risk Adjustment for Aetna, a CVS Health business.
Mattingly is a graduate of Rosemont College (BS), Harrisburg Community College (RN) and Penn State (MHA).
William McCune joined the Board in 2023. He recently retired from Lancaster General Health where he was Senior Vice President for Hospital Operations.
He is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and has a Masters of Public Health degree from Yale University.
Sarah Mitchell joined our Board of Trustees in January 2018 and currently serves as a member of the Health Services Committee and the Finance & Investment Committee.
Mitchell is the former Chief Executive Officer of New Jersey Protection and Advocacy, Inc., a non-profit agency providing legal services to people with disabilities. During a distinguished legal, healthcare and social work career,Mitchell was appointed by President Clinton as the first Chair of the TWWIIA Advisory Panel to the Social Security Administration regarding the federal work incentives program.Mitchell also has served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, Assistant Dean at Rutgers University School of Law and President of the National Association of Protection and Advocacy Systems.
Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School with a JD, the University of Michigan with a MS in Social Work and the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Nursing.

Michele Samsi joined our Board of Trustees in January 2018 and currently serves as a member of the Academic Policy & Curriculum Committee and the Health Services Committee.
Samsi was a practicing Physician Assistant at Miriam Medical Clinic. Previously she co-founded a family practice medical clinic in Philadelphia that served uninsured patients for over 15 years.
Samsi is a graduate of Drexel University/Hahnemann University with a PA-C.
Jo Surpin joined our Board of Trustees in 1995 and previously served as its Chair from 2007 to 2021. Surpin currently serves as the Chair of the Strategic Initiatives Committee.
Surpin is President of Applied Medical Software, which implements of gainsharing programs that align physician and hospital incentives, and President of Strategic Health Alliance of Collingswood, New Jersey, a healthcare management and consulting organization. She is a recipient of the Salus University Presidential Medal of Honor and the American College of Health Care Executives Regent Award for Innovation.
Surpin is a graduate of Temple University with an MA and BA in Economics.
Shannon Tornoe joined our Board of Trustees in January 2021 and currently serves as a member of the Audit & Compliance Committee and the Academic Policy & Curriculum Committee.
Tornoe is the Vice President, HUB international, a global risk management and insurance brokerage firm.
