Our Vestibular Lab offers audiology students state of the art equipment found in few other audiology programs.

The lab's equipment includes one of less than 100 existing rotary chairs in the entire country, a number that includes hospitals as well as universities. Utilized for vestibular rehabilitation, the rotary chair also is used in the diagnosis of balance disorders, as is the Computer Dynamic Posturography Balance Machine located in this lab. The balance machine in the vestibular lab is one of two the University owns, the second being located at the Pennsylvania Ear Institute. Having a second balance machine in the lab means that audiology students have access to the machine for additional practice time when their schedules allow.
