Anna Saracino Named Assistant Director of Communications

annamarie saracinoAlexis Abate, MA, director of Communications, recently announced the transition of Anna Saracino to assistant director of Communications. Saracino has served as the marketing and outreach coordinator for Clinical Operations since 2014. In that role, she helped redesign all clinical materials to align with the Salus University Health brand and assisted in the development of clinical marketing campaigns and collateral. She was also solely responsible for managing the University’s community outreach activities, pediatric school vision programs and assisted in the planning of the “Looking Out for Kids” charity fundraiser. Prior to joining Salus, Saracino was an administrative coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania Ryan Veterinary Hospital where she produced clinical materials, coordinated continuing education events as well as site visits to referring providers.  

In her new role, Saracino will assist in the continued development of innovative strategic communications across multiple platforms. She will also write, edit and manage all content for University publications including the bi-annual alumni magazine, annual report, newsletters, admissions and clinical materials, etc. Saracino earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from La Salle University in 2009 and is also a certified nutrition consultant.

Peggy Shelly, who has served as the University’s coordinator of communications and publications, for the past decade will be leaving the University effective June 30. For the last couple of months, she has been assisting in the transition in the Office of Communications and has been training Saracino in aspects of her new role.
