Dear Entering Salus Student,
We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe as we all continue to navigate through the pandemic. As we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we wanted you to know that Salus is eagerly and responsibly preparing for your entrance and ultimate arrival at the University; we are excited to welcome you to our community.
You’ve made a wise decision to begin your professional education. Our goal is to ensure you are well-prepared for successful careers, placing unparalleled academic and clinical training as our top priorities, so you will be able to make vital contributions to humankind.
We wanted to provide you with an update on what the University is doing now, and what we are anticipating for the summer and fall semesters ahead.
For those attending summer semester, many didactic classes will continue online with some programs offering in-person or hybrid classes. All labs and clinics will be held on campus or in one of our clinical facilities. Taking into consideration the rate of vaccinations both regionally and nationally, unless things change, we are currently anticipating a “normal” Fall semester opening with in-person classes, labs and clinics for all programs. If you have not already been vaccinated, I strongly encourage
you to do so.
The Office of Admissions is currently offering a series of Entering Student Webinars
featuring information on financial aid, student engagement, local housing and current student Q&A. Recordings of past webinars can be found here
. As dates for future events, are determined, we will be sure to provide you with the details. Additionally, several of the program directors will also be hosting virtual chats to help answer your questions. We are planning on offering a hybrid orientation program to allow for maximum flexibility as we move into the Fall.
With everyone’s health and safety in mind, we will continue to follow CDC-sanctioned protocols and guidelines to address clinic, classroom and office cleaning and social distancing, as necessary. Individually and collectively, we will remain adaptable and be ready to adjust our plans on short notice to keep our community safe. As we prepare for the Fall semester, we will proceed in a manner that does not place any members of our community at undue risk. As things continue to evolve, we will continue to keep you informed.
As the newest members of our SALUS STRONG
community, we cannot thank you enough for your understanding and resiliency as we work to ensure your educational experience here is nothing short of fantastic. Again, welcome to Salus University. I look forward to personally welcoming each of you in the fall.
