Entering Student Letter from President Mittelman
To our Prospective Students,
On behalf of everyone at Salus, I want to personally welcome you to the beginning of your professional careers! We are all living through a generationally defining moment as we confront the global COVID-19 pandemic. Like many of your undergraduate institutions, we quickly pivoted to online teaching, maintaining our characteristic high-quality instruction and developed creative ways to ensure every student receives the necessary educational experiences to excel. We had a head start in this regard as we have been offering online programs for over two decades, beginning in 2000, with the advent of the country’s first distance education doctoral program for experienced, licensed audiologists. I want to ensure you our rockstar faculty and staff are ready for you to join us at Salus this coming August.
While we are hopeful you’ll be able to begin your Salus experience in August with face to face instruction and hands-on training, should the current situation dictate otherwise, we are well prepared to start your instruction virtually.
I know this is a stressful time with many of you wondering whether or not all of your planning has been for naught. I can assure you that it has not. We are ready, we are excited and we are well-positioned to provide you the professional education you’ve worked so hard to pursue. I applaud each and every one of you for selecting healthcare as your profession. This real-world event we’re living through now will come to an end. The entire experience, as unpleasant as it has been, will energize you even more to become part of a team that helps people to live their lives to the fullest.  It’s our goal for you to hit the deck running when you get here – either virtually or in person – so you can jump into this with both feet.
I very much look forward to meeting all of you in the near future.
