Now that the merger between Salus University and Drexel University is complete, let’s take a closer look at one of the colleges at Drexel.

Drexel University College of Medicine fosters inclusive, culturally responsive care experiences for students, faculty and professional staff, with an emphasis on medical innovation. The College is committed to addressing the needs of its local communities, whether through clinics that serve people experiencing homelessness, victims of domestic violence, or those who lack access to care. The College of Medicine also dedicated to understanding and addressing the root causes of health inequities, with the goal of helping the Drexel physicians and scientists of tomorrow deliver superb health care and serve as innovators in the science of medicine.

The recent merger with Salus University adds to Drexel’s post-professional health sciences portfolio of programs in physician assistant studies, biomedicine, blindness and low vision studies, and international programs from the Global, Interprofessional and Specialized Programming Department.

The College of Medicine’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies offers more than 40 doctoral, master's and professional development programs. The health sciences programs emphasize early clinical exposure and real-world experience, while guiding students to make career decisions that best fit their abilities and evolving needs. The doctoral, master’s and professional development programs based at the Elkins Park Campus emphasize clinical training and real-life experience to help ensure student success.
