The Journey of Clarification is the fourth and final Interprofessional Learning Activity (IPLA) in the 2026 academic year. In this virtual IPLA, students will observe and discuss videos of case history interviews with a Standardized Patient (SP), conducted by clinicians from different professions. The SP will present with non-specific, “shared” symptoms. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions of the SP prior to moving into small group discussion of the different professional approaches and areas of professional overlap, followed by role-play to demonstrate how they would collaborate to ensure care coordination and a good experience for the patient/client. This IPLA provides students the opportunity to demonstrate the collaborative practice competencies learned in previous IPLAs.
