Dr. Mark Miriello, a primary care optometrist and PCO instructor, and Dr. Kelly Salmon, a Speech-Language Pathology assistant professor, have joined the faculty at Salus University.
While he lives in the here and now – just like the rest of us — University president Dr. Michael Mittelman is always looking ahead. And, he has a sense that his passion for advanced planning might sometimes wear on the people closest to him.
When one door opens, another closes. We’ve all heard that cliché. But many of the doors around Salus University – both at The Eye Institute’s (TEI) Oak Lane campus and the main campus in Elkins Park, Pa. – were open, warm and welcoming to kick off the season last week with the annual holiday party and door decorating contest.
Dr. Pelino, assistant professor in the University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry, recently presented an on-campus lecture titled “Longevity through the EYE of the Beholder,” which explored the nature (genetics) versus nurture (the role of the environment) debate in longevity.
Many staff and faculty members at Salus are well known and respected for their work in their chosen profession. But there are many that take that proverbial left turn out of the parking lot and devote time to a totally different profession. One such person is Lisa Lonie, the executive assistant to president Michael Mittelman.
