A group from MSU visited Salus University July 22, 2022, to tour the campus and hear about the various health science programs Salus offers.

Working as a dialysis patient care technician before starting graduate school at Salus University to focus on Physician Assistant (PA) Studies, Emily Poff ‘23PA, was aware individuals with kidney failure needed to follow strict dietary guidelines. However, Poff admits she truly didn’t appreciate all of the work that has to go into following a diet so tightly regulated.
The three-part series “First Generation Students: Experiences and Advice” starts here. This series will highlight some first generation students’ journeys to graduate school, their experiences at Salus, and any advice they have for other first-generation students looking to continue their studies at the graduate level. These students hail from Memphis, California, Puerto Rico, and many other parts of the map.
