Brian Zuckerman Named Chief of Staff and In-house Counsel
Salus University president, Dr. Michael H. Mittelman, recently announced the appointment of Brian Zuckerman as the new chief of staff and in-house counsel. For the past 13 years, Zuckerman served as senior vice president – general counsel and secretary, for Pep Boys, a Philadelphia institution founded in 1921, two years after PCO was established. While at Pep Boys, he was responsible for the management and oversight of legal and environmental affairs as well as external communications, internal audit and risk management. Additionally, he was a key member of the senior management team responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans. Prior to joining Pep Boys, Zuckerman served as a corporate and securities associate at two Philadelphia law firms.
In his role as chief of staff, Zuckerman will provide oversight for program growth, operational efficiency, and strategic planning and projects aligned with University priorities. He will also play an integral role in developing and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external constituencies. As the University’s in-house counsel, Zuckerman will also be responsible for contracts, legal representation and counsel to administration, faculty and staff while also serving as the University’s compliance officer.
