Salus president, Dr. Michael H. Mittelman, delivered the keynote address at the 112th commencement of the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University (MKBU) on May 19 in Fullerton, CA.
His speech, “Proceed Until Apprehended,” was given to the University’s 96 Doctor of Optometry and three Master of Science graduates and 47 optometric residents in addition to faculty, families and friends of the students. Ketchum President Kevin L. Alexander, OD, PhD, said that the University was honored to welcome Dr. Mittelman whose “lifelong service to bettering the lives of others embodies what we hope for all our graduates and what we teach at MBKU.”
Dr. Mittelman received the honorary degree of Doctor of Ocular Science from the University for recognition of his service to the optometric profession.
