Joshua Simpo, Optometry

Joshua in his white coatHey there! My name is Joshua Simpo, a first-year Optometry student in the traditional program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). Before moving to Pennsylvania I attended the University of South Florida, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Health Science and master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology.

Before applying to Optometry school I was encouraged to consider Salus by the doctor I at the time worked for. His enthusiasm and genuine well regard for the training her received stuck with me. My decision to attend Salus was rooted in the warmth I received from the faculty the moment I stepped foot onto campus. The attentiveness of all of my professors and peers have contributed to my success so far. The little strides to ensure our success not only go a long way, but reinforces the sense of belonging Salus emits over the entire student body. I have no doubt this institution will make me not only an amazing eye doctor, but a well rounded individual. I look forward to spending the next four years at this amazing institution.
