Why did you choose Salus?
Choosing Salus for Optometry school was a decision rooted in both passion and practicality. As a Canadian from Toronto with a Bachelor of Chemistry from York University, I sought a program that offered exceptional training and a supportive community. Salus stood out for its early patient encounters and hands-on experiences, providing me the invaluable opportunity to refine my clinical skills with a diverse range of patients from the very start. The campus itself is stunning, nestled in a city warmer than Toronto and just a convenient hour-long flight away, making it feel both exciting and accessible. The vibrant, larger class size fosters collaboration and allows me to connect with an incredible array of peers, all while learning and practicing together. The faculty and students have already proven to be inspiring and welcoming, reinforcing my belief that Salus is the ideal environment to grow both personally and professionally in pursuit of my dream of becoming an optometrist.
