Why did you choose Optometry?
I chose to study Optometry at Drexel because during my interview the staff was incredibly welcoming and understanding. The environment felt supportive rather than intimidating, and it was clear the faculty genuinely wanted students to succeed. I left with a strong, positive sense that Drexel was the right place for me. Coming from Florida, I also looked forward to the change of scenery in the Northeast and the chance to experience all four seasons in Pennsylvania.
Optometry has always been a passion of mine because of its focus on primary and preventive care, as well as the emphasis on early detection and screening. I’m excited to deepen my knowledge of the profession and build the skills needed to provide the highest quality care to future patients, and I’m especially eager to do so with such a close-knit community over the next four years.
