Why did you choose Optometry?
Initially, the thought of contact lenses terrified me. I couldn't imagine putting something on my eye. I lived in glasses until my siblings finally convinced me through my first pair of soft lenses. The vision, freedom, and comfort of contact lenses changed my perspective.
I chose the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) immediately because of its specialty contact lens service. Learning about scleral and rigid gas permeable lenses has opened my eyes to a whole other world besides soft lenses.
