Salus PCO Dean Lori Grover, Dr. Lynn Greenspan, assistant professor, and Dr. Felix M. Barker, II, professor emeritus, are the recipients of the American Optometric Association’s (AOA) President’s Award, given annually to individuals who tirelessly advocate for eye and vision health care. The honorees were presented with their awards at the AOA’s Congressional Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C.
The former dean of Research at Salus PCO, Dr. Barker is the current associate director of Research for the Department of Defense Veterans Administration Vision Center of Excellence in North Carolina.
