Drexel University’s Elkins Park campus will host the SEPCHE Honors Conference from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Hafter Student Community Center.
The conference is an opportunity for undergraduate students to present scholarship in a setting beyond the classroom and their individual college or university. It provides an opportunity to share academic excellence, foster interdisciplinary learning, and celebrate challenging academic programs.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE), established in 1993, represents more than 20,000 students in small colleges located across the metropolitan Philadelphia area. The consortium of independent colleges and universities in the region engages in a collaborative approach to the challenges of higher education. It works together to promote the quality and efficiency of academic programming, student access, faculty development, institutional operations, and community outreach by sharing a range of activities, services, technology, and information.
In addition to Drexel’s Elkins Park campus, other schools participating include undergraduate students from Arcadia University, Chestnut Hill College, Neumann University, and Rosemont College.
There are a total 56 (guest numbers not included) submissions for the conference: six in art, five in poetry, eight posters, 38 computer presentations and two pitches.
