Salus University offers a wide variety of benefits programs and resources to its employees. From our health plan options and discount programs, to our continuing education opportunities and competitive retirement plan, the University is committed to providing benefits that matter at each stage of employment.
HEALTHCARE REFORM AND THE HEALTHCARE EXCHANGE
Salus University provides medical benefits to employees working 26 or more hours per week. Our plans offer comprehensive medical coverage with a focus on preventive care. There are no limits on pre-existing conditions.Coverage through Salus will typically provide a greater value than coverage available through a public healthcare exchange. The exchange is a marketplace for purchasing insurance, designed primarily for people who don't have coverage available through their employer.
If you are a benefits eligible Salus employee, you qualify for coverage through Salus that meets affordability and coverage standards under Healthcare Reform. Benefits eligible employees do not qualify for federal subsidies to help with purchasing coverage through a healthcare exchange. If you purchase coverage through an exchange, you will pay the full premium cost of coverage. Salus pays the majority of the cost of medical coverage for the Salus plans.
