Noelle Vega, Speech-Language Pathology

Why did you choose Speech-Language Pathology?

Noelle at a restaurantI knew from the very beginning that Drexel University’s Elkins Park Campus (formerly Salus) was the place for me. The close-knit community, supportive faculty, and emphasis on hands-on learning immediately stood out and made me feel at home. I was searching for a program that would not only challenge me academically, but also prepare me with the real-world skills and clinical experiences necessary to grow into a passionate, effective speech-language pathologist.

My decision was also shaped by a close family friend, a woman in the field of speech-language pathology who earned her doctorate and continues to inspire and mentor me. She spoke highly of Drexel’s program and specifically praised the program director, Robert Serianni, highlighting how his leadership and vision have shaped the program into what it is today. Hearing her perspective strengthened my admiration for the field and confirmed that choosing Drexel was the right decision for me.
